This agreement is between Sworen (“we”) and the person or business that buys or uses a Sworen licence (“you”). By installing or using Sworen you accept it.
1. What you get
A licence lets you install and run Sworen — its PHP code, its themes and the compiled rendering extension (together, “the Software”) — on the domain or domains named in your licence key, for as many installs as your licence allows. A development licence covers local, non-public work on the same project only.
The Software is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights we do not expressly grant you.
2. What you may not do
You may not, and may not let or help anyone else: run the Software on a domain your licence does not cover, or on more installs than it allows; share, resell, sublicense, rent or publish the Software or your licence key; remove, disable, bypass or interfere with the licence checks, including by patching or decompiling the extension, faking or blocking the licence server, editing licence tokens or setting a server’s clock back; reverse engineer the rendering extension, except where the law allows it despite this restriction; remove or change copyright, licence or notice texts in the Software.
Asking a person, a tool or an AI assistant to do any of the above for you is the same as doing it yourself.
3. Licence checks
The Software contacts our licence server about once a day. It sends the licence key, the store’s domain, a random install identifier and the Sworen version; the server also sees the request’s IP address. We use this only to confirm licences, detect a key used beyond its terms, and support you.
If the Software cannot confirm the licence for long enough, or the licence is revoked, expired or over its limits, the storefront stops rendering. The admin stays reachable so you can fix it.
4. Trial
A new domain gets a 14-day trial with every feature. When it ends, the storefront stops rendering until you enter a licence key. Your data stays in your database.
5. Fees
Licence prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars and are paid in advance for the licence period. We never charge a fee or commission on the orders your store takes.
6. Updates and support
Your licence includes the updates we publish until the “updates until” date of your licence, if it has one, and support by email for the same period. After that, the version you have keeps working.
7. Your store and its data
Your store runs on your server, and its data — products, orders, customers — is yours. You are responsible for your server, its backups and security, and for handling your customers’ personal data lawfully.
8. Ending the licence
The licence ends automatically if you break the section “What you may not do”. We may then revoke your key. You can stop using the Software at any time. The sections on restrictions, warranty and liability survive the end of the licence.
9. No warranty
The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, and Moroccan courts have jurisdiction.
